In October 2024, Tony joined OU’s Bateman team upon encouragement from a previous professor. Regardless, learning how to create a campaign and implement those techniques and tactics to help further the mission of OU for EveryLibrary was the goal. From learning research to implementation, the Bateman Competition demonstrated how a campaign develops from idea to the end. He enjoyed his time with his teammates, which would not have been possible without it. Tony contributed to the Batemen team with my fostered relationships and media relations. He helped link Cumulus Media with the team and garnered in-kind donations. Tony also helped with many in-person appearances and built both books. Relating to stakeholders and utilizing other public relations methods like PESO were critical. The team used Cumulus’s digital and FM platforms to spread the message.
